History
Welcome
to Oldham County's only locally owned, independent bank - a status of
which we are proud.
The year 1993 marked a return of community banking to Oldham County.
Previously, out-of-state banks had "cornered the banking market" through
acquisition of our community banks. Names changed, account numbers changed
and, unfortunately, faces changed too. In 1992, a group of local community
leaders, business persons, and professionals joined forces and began
planning the charter of a new community bank for Oldham County. In September
of the following year, THE BANK - Oldham County opened its doors. Operating
from a tiny trailer, just 100 feet from where the front door of our
LaGrange office is today, THE BANK - Oldham County began to grow.
And we continue
to grow today. We now have four full-service banking facilities serving
the Oldham County area --- in LaGrange, Crestwood, Prospect/Goshen,
and our newest location in Anchorage Plaza at the corner of Factory
Lane and LaGrange Road. We are pleased with our growth, but even more
so by the continued support and excitement of the community; providing
further evidence that community banking is wanted - and needed - in
Oldham County.
The officers and
employees of THE BANK - Oldham County are some of the most qualified,
professional bankers you will find anywhere. With over 200 years of
combined banking experience, the employees of our young bank possess
a long history of banking "know-how". As residents of the county, our
employees know the people and they understand their needs.
Today, as in 1993, we are
dedicated to maintaining a financial institution whose primary objective
is the interests of Oldham County residents. It is foremost in our minds.
We're proud of our independence and what it allows us to accomplish
here in our communities. We invite you to call on any of our banking
personnel and allow us to be of service. Contact us today - we'll be
glad to hear from you.
